find the fun in June

Here are some little ways to add fun to your days this June ☀️

  • It’s Fresh Fruits & Veggies Month! Stock up at your local farmer’s market, make an extra effort to “eat the rainbow” this month – and if you’re like me & are always wondering what veggies are in season, check out this fun seasonal guide to local produce print 🍅

  • 1st – Billboard Day. If you could put a message on a billboard, what would it be? Here’s a bunch of encouraging inspo 📣

  • 2nd – Donut Day. Whether it’s homemade or Kripsy Kreme, donut mind if I do 😎 🍩

  • 4th – Hug Your Cat Day. Read the room, er cat, and proceed with caution here 😂 🐱

  • 6th – Yo-Yo Day. Wondering where these toys full of tricks came to be? Here’s a brief history of the yo-yo BRB, still trying to learn how to “walk the dog” 😂

  • 7th – Chocolate Ice Cream Day. Make your own homemade & have a chocolate sundae bar – or go out for a cone! 🍦

  • 8th – Best Friends Day. Celebrate your BFF with a phone call, a sweet card, quality time doing something you love together, reminiscing, going to dinner, or fill in this “why you’re my bestie” keepsake journal for them to read 👯

  • 10th – Egg Roll Day. Celebrate this appetizer favorite with a twist: try out an egg roll in a BOWL 🤓

  • 11th – Making Life Beautiful Day. This lovely picture book tells the “story of Alice Rumphius, who longed to travel the world, live in a house by the sea, and do something to make the world more beautiful” – it’s a wonderful read 🥰

  • 14th – Family History Day. Make your own or fill in a family tree, ask your parents/grandparents questions. If you love hearing stories about the lives of your parents & grandparents – these keepsake books are a great way to get their stories on paper to keep for years to come! 💛

  • 16th – Fudge Day. This fudge is made out of chocolate chips and MARSHMALLOWS – and it’s all you need 😋

  • 17th – Mascot Day. Celebrate your favorite team’s mascot, make up your own, or read about how mascots came to be 👻

  • 18th – International Picnic Day. Celebrate by eating al fresco & have a picnic for breakfast, lunch, or dinner – or all 3 😎 🥪

  • 20th – Ice Cream Soda Day. Did you know that an Ice Cream Soda is not the same thing as an Ice Cream Float?! 🧐 Here’s the difference, plus how to make the best ice cream soda from Ina Garten, so you know it’s gonna be good 😏

  • 21st – Seashell Day. Here are 32 Seashell Crafts from Martha Stewart herself 🐚

  • 23rd – Typewriter Day. Take an old school typing for a spin. My friend (Lish!) used to (still does?!) have a typewriter in her house for guests/friends to type out little notes on as they came across it, like a guest book. I love this idea so much and have filed it away for when I come across the perfect old typewriter while antiquing 🤓 📃

  • 26th – Canoe Day. Break that canoe of the garage & paddle away 🛶

  • 28th – National Day of Joy. Make a list of things that bring you joy, do something that brings you joy, or brainstorm ways to bring others joy today ☀️

  • 30th – Food Truck Day. Visit your favorite food truck or dream up what kind of food truck you would have 👩🏼‍🍳 🚚
